Chapter 879 Deal With Sofie

Cameron, don't blame me. I know your feelings for me are not of the romantic kind but admiration. Blaze is a good girl. Even if you spend your entire life under her, consider yourself lucky.

“Alright. From tomorrow onward, I will teach you hypnosis.”

“Hehe. Thanks, Ms. Bailey. I'll be following you from now on.”

She was at a loss for words.

Over at the Hoffman family, Tucker was sharing his current situation with Kurt after meeting with him.

“Kurt, we're now in the same boat. You can't just stand by and watch me die, can you? If I fall, or if the Hoffman family is ruined by Sofie, it won't benefit you in any way. Without me as your support, I'm afraid the Yablon family will have you running around like a headless chicken—”

Before he could finish speaking, Kurt raised his hand slightly to interrupt him.

Then, in a light-hearted tone, he said, “Just tell me what you want me to do. There's no need to beat around the bush.”

Tucker quickly said, “Find a way to kill Sofie for me. I know you have the means to silently erase her from this world.”

“Alright,” Kurt responded decisively without a hint of hesitation.

Tucker was taken aback. He stared at him. “You agreed just like that? Without even considering it?”

“I have a way to ensure that woman's demise. Even if she doesn't die, she will be too weak to oppose you. Wait for my message.”

After he finished speaking, he stood up and left.

Tucker was somewhat bewildered.

Why is it becoming increasingly difficult for me to understand this mysterious man? Forget it. Why bother thinking so much? He's nothing but a stray dog. Can he really turn the world upside down? As long as he can help me deal with Sofie, everything else can be negotiated.

After leaving the Hoffman family, Kurt went straight to find Zoey.

After the conversation with Tucker, he came up with an even more brilliant and perfect plan.

Inside a certain small inn, Zoey opened the door only to find Kurt standing outside, which instinctively made her furrow her brows.

“Didn't we agree not to see each other? Why are you showing up at my door again?”

“The plans have changed,” Kurt stated before disappearing into the room.

Zoey coolly surveyed the corridor outside before closing the door.

“What changes?”

Kurt laughed menacingly. “I want you to deal with Sofie first and get the USB drive from her. It contains eighty percent of the Hoffman family's business secrets.”

Zoey rolled her eyes.

After going through so much, she gradually became wiser.

“You aspire to control the Hoffman family? Huh, I didn't expect you to pursue a narrow gain while neglecting a greater danger. It turns out that you are not that smart after all.”

“Enough with the chatter. I told you to deal with Sofie, so just go and handle it. Everything else is none of your business. What? Don't tell me that at this crucial moment, you've started to care about that d*mn mother-daughter sentiment.”

Zoey could not help but scoff, “She never considered me as her daughter. I was just a pawn to her. From the beginning, you approached me with the intention of using me to control Artemis and obtain the Tarragon. You don't need to provoke me. I know very well what that woman is like. You want me to get close to Sofie so that I can deal with her. I'm willing to do that. But how do I approach her?”

Kurt curled his lips into a smile, saying casually, “You don't need to worry about that. Her men will personally come to pick you up.”

In Zoey's eyes, there was a calmness as still as a stagnant pool, incapable of stirring any ripples.

“Then you make the arrangements. Zoey is dead. All that remains now is a beast bent on revenge. Those who have caused me pain in the past, I won't let a single one off the hook, and of course, that includes you.”

Kurt burst into hearty laughter. “Then try to make yourself ruthless, hmm, starting with dealing with your own mother.”

Zoey said nothing in response.

Inside the bedroom at the research base, Artemis, clad in his pajamas, emerged from the bathroom to find Bailey lost in thought by the floor-to-ceiling window. Instinctively, he began to stroll towards her.

He wrapped his arms around her from behind. Burying his face in her neck, he whispered in his husky voice, “What are you thinking about?”

Bailey snapped out of her daze. Chuckling lightly, she replied, “I wonder what our wedding will look like.”

She guessed it must be a grand wedding, where elites from all walks of life would gather.

Artemis gently bit her ear and teasingly said, “Oh, that's right. I still owe Mrs. Luther a wedding. Why don't we take matters into our own hands and deal with these monsters sooner so that we can hurry back to get married?”

Bailey reached out and patted him on the forehead. “Stop messing around. What's the fun of doing things ourselves? It's better to watch them fight like dogs. My intuition tells me that the upcoming drama is going to be spectacular.”

Artemis extended his hand and twirled her around to face him.

“But I want to marry you. I want to have a wedding with you. These endless troubles are always bothering us and affecting our mood.”

Bailey reached out and wrapped her hands around his neck as she laughed. “Haste makes waste. If you handle things too quickly, you'll leave behind potential problems. Let's just let things unfold naturally. All we need to do is maintain control over the situation. Besides, we still have no clue about the poison inside Luna. We must consider Simon's feelings. He's in a race against the Grim Reaper with his daughter. It would be insensitive of us to go ahead and plan a lavish wedding.”

As the topic of his niece's condition came up, Artemis' eyes gradually darkened.
