Chapter 919 She Has To Die

He sat up abruptly the moment he opened his eyes.

“Blaze!”

Bailey had been waiting by his side for him to wake up. She quickly reached out and grasped his shoulder at his sudden outburst.

“You've just been given the antidote, but there's still some residual poison in your body that hasn't cleared out yet. Try to stay calm for now. The residual toxins will start to ruin your body if you get too emotional. If those residual toxins start to mutate, then the antidote might be rendered useless.”

Cameron glared at her so intensely that his eyes looked as if they were about to pop out of his skull.

“Antidote? I took an antidote? But where's Blaze now? Where did she go?”

Bailey lowered her head as she remained silent.

How was she supposed to respond to that?

Was she supposed to tell him that Blaze had sacrificed herself to save him?

Or was she supposed to tell him that Blaze had traded herself for the antidote and he had to make sure it was worth it?

She was no saint, so she couldn't possibly say something like that.

Such hurt couldn't be avoided, and emotional scars couldn't be healed by just a few kind words.

Such an event would merely have been a spectacle to any other onlooker.

However, it was an entirely different level of heartbreak for the victim.

Her silence rubbed Cameron the wrong way and he suddenly gripped her shoulders as he shook her wildly.

“Well, are you going to tell me what happened to her? Where is she now? Has she come back yet? Did that b*stard Kurt do something to her or is she hurt somehow? Please just say something. Please tell me she's okay,” Cameron pleaded. His voice was full of desperation and the last sentence was basically begging her for an answer.

Bailey turned her face away slightly and said, “Cameron, Blaze traded herself for the antidote. To her, it was probably the most reasonable decision since she likes you so much.”

“Who gives a damn about reason?” Cameron roared into the atmosphere.

He radiated the same murderous aura as a mortally wounded beast that wanted to burn down everything in its path.

In his bloodshot eyes lay an endless intent to kill and a wish for nothing more than to turn the world into a river of blood.

Bailey's heart seized in fear as she began to spot signs of him going insane. She quickly took out a silver needle and pricked it into an acupoint on the side of his neck.

In the next moment, Cameron's surge of intense anger receded like the tide.

In that instant, all the strength that had been roaring within him completely drained away.

Bailey looked at him solemnly and said, “Blaze isn't dead. Kurt took her to Gregan. I just want to ask you one thing: Do you want to save her?”

Blaze isn't dead. Blaze isn't dead. Those three words echoed in Cameron's skull like a mantra.

The very next second, he clung onto Bailey's arm again like a drowning man clutching at a life jacket.

“Is she really okay? So she's not dead?”

Bailey closed her eyes for a moment. When she opened them again, her gaze was calm and steady. Then, in a slow and steady tone, she recounted the events of the previous night to him.

When Cameron heard about all the things that Kurt had done to Blaze, his gaze began to fill with a look of despair.

His eyes turned even more bloodshot and looked as if they were about to burst out of their sockets.

At the sight of his fierce grimace, Bailey said lightly, “To me, Blaze is like a cloud on the horizon. She's pure and flawless, and her heart is pure and untainted. As for her physical wounds, it's up to you, Cameron, whether you're willing to help her heal or not.”

Cameron slowly let go of her arm and buried his head in his knees.

Bailey spoke again, “I'll give you three days to get ready. Once you're all set, we'll immediately set off for Gregan. Kurt is still alive and he's holding Blaze hostage. If you really want to vent your anger, then make sure you make that b*stard think he's better off dead.”

Cameron slowly clenched his fists.

He was definitely going to save Blaze, and he was definitely going to kill Kurt.

However, he didn't know if he had the means to cure the emotional trauma that Blaze must have suffered after what happened.

Bailey smiled bitterly at the sight of him calming down and seemed to be thinking about something before stepping out of the ward.

Artemis was out in the corridor and spotted Bailey. Immediately he blurted out in concern, “Is he doing alright?”

Bailey smiled weakly at him. “He's not the heir of the Yablon family for no reason. He pulled himself together in no time. I want to solve the Moranta issues as soon as possible so we can go to Gregan. Luna can't suppress the parasitic fragrance inside her for much longer, and another day wasted is another day Blaze spends getting tortured by Kurt. We have to go to Gregan no matter what. Please help me find a way to settle Philip's issue so that we can move on.”

Artemis reached out and hugged her. His voice gently broke the silence as he said, “Alright. I'll handle it. Give me three days and I promise I'll settle everything.”

“Okay.”

At that very moment, Aisley was pacing back and forth inside the guest room.

Her housekeeper looked frantic as well. “Ms. Lockett, Mr. Simon and Ms. Rogers are planning to go to Gregan in a few days. You must act quickly. If you let them leave, you might not get another chance in the future. The royal family is furious, and the Lockett family is teetering on the brink of disaster. If you lose your value to them, you will definitely be cast aside.”

Suddenly, Aisley stopped pacing around.

She hadn't expected Simon to actually be so harsh.
