Chapter 933 The Vixen Is Here

Enraged, Tucker launched a powerful kick toward Connor's chest.

“Traitor! You're a traitor, and you'll get your comeuppance sooner or later!”

Connor could have dodged it with his skills.

But he didn't move, took the kick squarely, and then was sent flying backward.

Tucker wanted to rush over and snatch the gun from his hand, but as soon as he took a step, he was blocked by two men in black.

Then, Archie's voice echoed from behind him. “Tucker, your era is over. Stop resisting. I visited the suburbs and saw the place you chose for our father. It's really suitable for his retirement. You've done your part. When the time comes, I'll arrange for a few international actresses to attend to you. You and that old man can enjoy life to the fullest and leave the family affairs to me.”

Tucker abruptly turned around, his stern gaze sweeping toward Archie as if a raging fury was about to explode from within his body.

If he had a knife in his hand, he would surely reduce the despicable Archie to a thousand pieces.

Archie looked straight into his angry eyes, fearless, and said with a light laugh, “Don't be angry. If you let your anger ruin your health, you're the one who will suffer in the end.”

“Ack!”

Overwhelmed by fury, Tucker spat out a mouthful of fresh blood, then fell straight backward.

He had been scheming for so many years, only to be defeated in the end by an illegitimate child.

He was livid.

He couldn't accept it.

Connor hurried over, catching him in his arms. Then, looking up at Archie, he gritted his teeth and said, “Mr. Archie, I've done as you instructed. I hope you will keep your promise and spare Tucker's life. From now on, we will no longer interfere in the affairs of the Hoffman family.”

Archie flashed him a smile that looked as harmless as a lamb. “Well, I don't want to engage in fratricide either. I fear divine retribution. As long as this guy stays put in the winery and doesn't bother me, I guarantee his safety for the rest of his life.”

“Okay. Thank you, Mr. Archie.”

After Connor carried the unconscious Tucker out of the conference room, Archie leaned on the table and enunciated, “Starting from today, I will take over the reins of the Hoffman family. You see, on the surface, I may appear as a mild-mannered man, but my tactics are no less fierce than the raging sea. So, it's in your best interest not to challenge my limits. If anyone has any objections to me, voice them now, so we can discuss and sort things out. Once you step through this door, don't attempt any tricks, or you'll meet a gruesome end.”

The senior executives beneath the stage shared a look with each other.

Archie seemed far more challenging to deal with than Tucker.

They were certain that, if they dared to oppose him today, they would likely all meet their end here.

In the end, Quincy sighed softly, nodded his head, and said, “Might makes right. I hope the Hoffman family can reach new heights under your leadership.”

His statement essentially acknowledged Archie's position.

When the others saw how Quincy had declared his stand, they quickly dismissed their schemes and began to express their stands one after another.

Archie couldn't be bothered to delve into their thoughts. Now that he held great power, anyone who didn't comply would be dealt with force.

At the base, when Artemis received the news that Archie had taken control of Tucker and seized all power, he was completely relieved.

The internal strife within the Hoffman family had been settled, which meant they could leave at any moment.

However, he was not planning to let Tucker go that easily.

How dare he covet my woman? Ha. Even if he doesn't die in the end, I'm still going to skin him alive.

With that thought, he pulled out his phone from his pocket and sent a text message to Ken.

“Mr. Luther, what are you doing standing there?”

A drowsy murmur from Bailey drifted from behind him, prompting him to instinctively turn around to look.

“Awake again? Did I disturb you?”

Bailey didn't say a word. She struggled to sit up before letting her gaze fall on the wall clock.

It was six o'clock in the evening.

She slept for less than four hours.

Artemis paced to the side of the bed, furrowing his brows as he said, “You've been sleeping too little lately. Rest a bit more. I know you have a lot on your mind, but no matter how worried you are, you must take care of your health.”

After he finished speaking, he picked up the cup of water from the bedside table and brought it to her lips.

After taking a few sips of the water, Bailey asked in a hoarse voice, “I vaguely heard you mention that Archie has overpowered Tucker. Has the internal strife within the Hoffman family been quelled?”

Seeing the sleepiness in her eyes fading away, Artemis knew she wouldn't sleep anymore. He couldn't help but sigh quietly.

It seemed unrealistic to expect her to sleep well away from home.

Therefore, he needed to quickly take care of the remaining matters, then take her back to Hallsbay so that she could rest and recuperate.

“It has. Archie's known as the prodigy, after all. Tucker stands no chance against him. Are you considering a visit to the Hoffman residence?”

With a grin, Bailey reached out and wrapped his arm around Artemis' neck.

“All right, I'll go check on Huntley's condition, then have a chat with Juliana's father.”

Artemis watched her, her casual and languid demeanor causing his gaze to gradually darken.

He realized he could never be enough for her.

For instance, right now, he...

Seeing a change in the look in his eyes, Bailey quickly let go of his neck and rolled off the bed from the other side.

“Take a break. You don't need to accompany me to the Hoffman residence. My brother should be going with me.”
