After a quick chat with Chad, Andre hung up the phone and handed it to his wife.

Mia peeked over, curiosity lighting up her eyes. "Honey, are we still picking up Molly?"

Andre, with a hint of anger, replied, "No, we're not."

Mia covered her mouth to hide a smile, looking a bit too pleased.

Seeing her husband wasn't leaving, Mia suggested, "Let's just hit the hay then. Molly's a grown woman; she won't get lost, and Chad's there to look out for her. Don't worry, sleep tight. Look how soundly our little guy is sleeping." Andre glanced at their son, who had been crying his lungs out just moments ago but was now peacefully asleep.

He settled back in bed, with their slumbering bundle of joy between them.

Andre lay down and asked, "Mia, what's going on between Molly and Chad...?"

Mia quickly pulled the covers over her head and pretended to be asleep.

Andre sighed, "You're covering the baby; he's going to start crying again."

Mia, still pretending to sleep, slid her arm out from under the covers, flung them open, and tucked the edge under her armpit once more, maintaining her charade.

Their little guy twitched at the disturbance but soon settled back into comfort, his chubby cheeks reminiscent of a younger Andre.

Andre watched his wife's antics, his mind heavy with concern for his family.
