Maplewood Estates.

For the first time since their son was born, Mia and Andre found themselves without him. Mia had hoped to finally get some uninterrupted study time, but instead, she found herself lying on the couch, barely touching her lunch, feeling listless and downhearted. The house was eerily quiet, a stark contrast to when their son's laughter and cries filled every corner, making the home feel alive and bustling. Now, with their son staying at the Cedillo family's house, the couple felt out of place in their own home.

It hadn't even been 24 hours since Andre had dropped off their son, and he was already on the phone with his father, checking in on the little one.

Mia, unable to focus on her book, slumped on the sofa. "Honey, I miss our son."

Andre missed him too, but he tried to put on a tough front. "All he did was cry; what's there to miss? You'll stop missing him by tomorrow. It's just the first day; you're not used to it yet."

Mia looked at her husband. "Let's not kid ourselves. You've called your dad eight times in less than 24 hours, and you say you don't miss him?"

Andre replied, "I'll stop missing him by tomorrow."

The next day, Mia still felt an emptiness. "Honey, I think I love our son more than I love you."

Andre sighed. "You really didn't have to say that."

Mia, who had recently stopped breastfeeding, was in so much pain that she could hardly eat. While Andre was out driving to get medicine for Mia, he couldn't help but think of their son as he navigated through the brightly lit city.

Returning home with the medicine, he suggested, "Mia, it's dark now. Henry's probably asleep. How about we go see him?"

Mia eagerly nodded, having been wanting to do just that. She had seen a video in the family group chat showing their son with tear-stained lashes, and it broke her heart.

In the middle of the night, Andre drove Mia back to the Cedillo family's house. In the living room, Chad was holding Henry, gently patting his back to help him sleep, while Molly remarked, "Chad, you're so good at this. We couldn't calm him down, but you managed to." When the sound of a car was heard in the driveway, everyone looked over. Soon after, the couple quietly entered the living room. "Is he asleep?" they whispered.

Hansen gestured towards the child in Chad's arms. "Just fell asleep."
