Henry glanced over his shoulder at his dad, not the least bit intimidated, determined to keep up his little rebellion.

Come lunchtime, it took both parents just to get a few bites into him. Mia watched as their son cried so hard he started coughing, tears and snot everywhere. Her heart ached—she set the spoon aside and rubbed his little belly. "Honey, do you think he's coming down with something? This just isn't like him. He's usually got an appetite like a bear."

Andre scooped Henry into his arms, worry creasing his brow. "Let's take Dad for a check-up tomorrow, and we'll bring Henry too. Maybe it's his stomach acting up."

Mia hesitated, then looked at her husband with a teasing smile. "Maybe you should get checked out too, babe?"

Andre raised an eyebrow. "Why would I need that?"

"Your heart, lungs, liver, blood pressure-your family's got a talent for driving people crazy, after all." She grinned and gave him a playful nudge. More than one troublemaker under this roof, she meant.

Andre waved her off. "No need. I'm the healthiest one here. You guys should worry about yourselves."

"But sweetheart, you do get stressed so easily. The moment something slips out of your control, you're anxious for days," Mia said, scooting close to him on the couch. "Do it for me, just a quick checkup."

After a lunchtime nap in Andre's office, the three of them headed off for an afternoon stroll through Crescent Park.

Meanwhile, Conner was dead set on dragging Annie down to get married. Annie gave him a couple of playful punches, but when he couldn't get her to the altar, he insisted on at least getting their marriage license.
