Leo glanced at his phone, firing off a text. "The kids are missing again at home."

"Want some help?" someone offered.

Leo just kept typing. "No need. Their dad's a police chief."

Just then, Grandpa Dragon and Grandma Dragon showed up at the spot Leo had shared.

Molly hopped out of the car and immediately spotted the little buggy she'd bought. "Chad, look! That's the car I got for Grandma and Grandpa!"

She'd actually wanted to get one for her own dad too, just to let him have some fun. But Hansen had gone off, practically snorting with outrage. "I'm not old! Who are you calling old? A senior scooter? I don't need that thing!"

Molly shot back, her wit razor-sharp. "Well, Dad, how do you plan on getting around when you do get old?"

Hansen, the proud CEO of Cedillo Inc., chased after her, huffing and puffing. “Getting around? Are you saying I'm old? Chad, did nobody in the Byrne family want this contraption so you brought it here just to mess with me?"

Chad just shrugged. "Dad, Molly was just being thoughtful."

Hansen was as touchy about his age as he was about his hairline—everyone in the family knew not to bring up either.

So in the end, Molly only bought the buggy for Grandma and Grandpa Byrne. She'd checked every detail, so she remembered it well.

From the shed nearby, the sound of traditional opera floated out. The couple exchanged a look-that was definitely the place.
