Chapter 242 Simon Has Found a Real Gem
He thought that he would charm Silvia with that wink, but Silvia looked at him with an expressionless face. Then, she turned to Simon and said in earnest, “Or maybe just ask him to go?”
Chester thought, what? With all the charm I have got, I can’t believe I have suffered such a major setback!
Chester was stunned. “Please don’t! Beauty! I don’t have a healthy appetite like that. Actually, I can skip the meal if you want me to! Simon, you can’t be so heartless. I mean, we’re friends, right? Simon…”
“Do you want to leave on your own, or do I have to ask Freddie to do you the favor?” Simon raised his eyebrows and asked.
“Don’t! Please don’t do that to me!”
Freddie had already gotten physical with him twice today. If Freddie were to do it again, that would be a huge i humiliation for him. What if people knew about it?
Suddenly, an idea flashed through his mind. “Beauty, look! I’m here to present you with the wedding gifts. It’s not appropriate to drive a guest like me out like this, right?”
“Wedding gifts?” Silvia turned to Simon, obviously full of doubts.
With a little cough, Simon picked up some food for her. “Yes. Since we have already decided, I think it’s better if we hold the wedding as soon as possible. What do you think, darling?”
Chester got goosebumps the moment he heard the word “darling”.
Silvia understood right away. It seemed that, after coming back from the Austin family, the news had spread out. It turned out that they couldn’t keep their relationship a secret anyway.
But she knew this day would come. Therefore, she was okay with it.
“Then, where are the gifts?” Silvia turned to Chester and extended her hand,
Stunned for a moment, Chester laughed dryly. “Well, I came in a hurry…”
“Didn’t you say that you were here to present us with the wedding gifts?” Silvia ate slowly, finding Chester quite interesting
Come to think of it, despite being with Simon for so long, this was the first time she had met Simon’s friend. Well, Freddie excluded. That was something novel.
“Yes! But I wasn’t sure if you were really going to get married. I mean, I can’t bring the gift based on hearsay, right?” Then he continued, “But don’t worry! You will have the gift. And I promise it will be a great gift that both of you find satisfying!”
He promised in the hope of staying here for a while longer.
Finally, he got to see Simon’s wife. It would be a pity if he just left like that and didn’t get to know her a bit. Moreover, Silvia was really eye-catching.
Despite being scared shitless at the kitchen door just now, Chester was stunned by Silvia after she washed up. Right now, she was wearing a green home dress, which made her look fresh, and her hair, after being washed, was scattered on her shoulders. There was even a faint shampoo fragrance coming out of it. Every time she cast a gaze or smiled, she looked indescribably amazing.
As for the way she talked, it was pure and yet a little sexy. Also, sometimes it sounds playful. And when she chased Chester out, she sounded even a bit valiant.
Chester had never seen such a woman before. In Chester’s eyes, Simon had found a real gem!
“Sure.” Silvia chuckled, “But I’m curious. What kind of great gift is it that could satisfy both of us?”
“You’ll know by then!” Chester was confident.
To please a woman was actually not that difficult. Jewelry, bags, or clothes alone would be sufficient. One just had to spend some money, and that was it.
Chester was confident about pleasing women.
“What if we are not satisfied?” After taking a sip of the soup, Silvia asked again.
“If you’re not satisfied…” He turned to Simon. But Simon did not say a word. Obviously, Silvia got all the say in the house.
“If you are not satisfied, I will give you one of my buildings!” He gritted his teeth.
Silvia thought, although I do not know what that building is like, and also, it is useless for me anyway, I might as well have some fun and take it as a bet. Then she nodded and said, “Okay!”
Chester breathed a sigh of relief, sat down again, and asked carefully, “Then… Can I have my meal now?”
“Of course. We’re very hospitable. How can we just let our guests go without eating?” She said, looking innocent.
Chester was speechless.
The couple was threatening to throw him out just now, and now she should say they were hospitable!
Chester decided to change his view about Silvia, who, instead of being a good fairy, should be a wicked one that could bewitch people at will!
After making sure that he could stay here safely, Chester was ready to gossip as he always did. “Oh right, may I ask how to address you?”
Silvia glanced at Simon and smiled, “You can call me Mrs. Palmer.”
Since they were about to get married anyway, there was nothing wrong with calling her that.
By saying that, Silvia managed to answer the question while not telling Chester her name. Chester thought to himself how despicable!
Then Chester continued to ask, “Of course, I know that you are Mrs. Palmer. But what is your … name? All right, let m introduce myself first. My name is Chester Xavier. I am very happy to meet you! Now, your turn. Mrs. Palmer, what is your name?”
Noticing that Chester was expecting her answer, Silvia said softly, “Mr. Xavier, isn’t it rude to inquire about a lady’s name in front of her husband?”
She smiled reservedly and stopped talking.
Chester was at a loss for words.
He was just asking for a name, which was something modern people would do. Why was it rude?
He wanted to keep asking, but he cast a sidelong glance at Simon. Then he decided to bite his lip and change the topic “Then, how did you guys meet?”
He was curious about that. Although Susan kept pursuing Simon, silvia, who came out of nowhere, was still able to make Simon fall for her and even want to marry her right away.
That must be destiny!
Susan had tried very hard for years to woo Simon. She would buy him snacks and gifts frequently and pick him up at the airport as long as she was available. From time to time, she would also go to his company to keep him company. But Simon just did not like her.
“Well…” Silvia looked at Simon, trying to recall how exactly they met the first time.
The first time they met should be at the game that she lost. And then, the two didn’t meet each other anymore until a few years later when she sought help from Simon.
“We are old friends,” Simon answered instead, then looked at Chester in a bad mood. “Are you full? If you’re full, get lost!”
Chester shook his head. “Not yet. I’m still eating!”
Then he ate a few more mouthfuls as if he was proving that he was still hungry.
Then Chester started to think about what else he could ask since, if he just went home like this knowing nothing, Susan would maim him.
But at that moment, Freddie walked in with an anxious step and a solemn expression.
