Chapter 248 I Only Want Him
Frowning, Chester said impatiently, “Susan, are you crazy? I am your brother, your biological brother. What are you talking about?”
“Urgh! You are not my brother!” Susan was in a bad temper. “If you were my brother, you wouldn’t have said such words! If you were my brother, you should have told me who that slut is. Tell me who she is…”
Susan began to make wild guesses. She guessed the woman was one of the ladies from the noble families at the same age as her.
Susan thought it was most likely a business marriage. However, she believed that the Xavier family was not inferior either. Of course, it could not compare to a family like the Palmer family. However, compared to others, her condition was good enough!
She was beautiful, famous, and had known Simon for so many years. Why wasn’t she? It could only be her!
“Don’t guess blindly. I’m sure you don’t know her because I don’t know her either.” Not wanting her to think too much, Chester said, “She shouldn’t be a girl born with a silver spoon. Her family background is probably quite ordinary. I haven’t seen her before anyway. Also, Simon dotes on her. I advise you not to bear any evil intentions on her. Otherwise, if you anger Simon, I won’t be able to protect you!”
Chester was serious, and Simon had also reminded him not to touch his bottom line.
It was rumored that Simon was vicious and ruthless. He just looked cold and unapproachable. However, after knowing him for so many years, Chester knew very well that he was just not easy to get along with on the surface. He was relatively easygoing.
Otherwise, Simon would not have tolerated Susan harassing him again and again, nor would he have tolerated Chester – for talking so much. However, everyone had their bottom line, which shouldn’t be touched. Otherwise, no matter how
easygoing they were, they would turn hostile and ruthless.
Chester was serious, but Susan could not listen to a single word.
All she wanted now was to find out the woman who had snatched Simon.
“You don’t have to worry about whether I know her or not. Just tell me who she is! By the way, do you have her photos?” she asked.
Shaking his head, Chester was afraid that she would not believe him. “Think about it. Would Simon let me take a picture of her?”
Susan thought about it and agreed, but she still couldn’t reconcile. “Then, what does she do? You should know that, right?”
“Do you think I can find out much information about her? It took me much effort to see her in person. I’m not lying to you. I almost died there. I’m doing this for your good. Susan, you are outstanding. It’s not difficult for you to find a good man. Why don’t you take a look at other men? You should learn from me. I…”
“You? You kept changing girlfriends. Should I learn from you?” Susan retorted with a cold face.
Chester was speechless.
“It’s not like that. I am doing this for your good!” He put out the cigarette in the ashtray and stood up. “Susan, I will introduce you to some good men some other day. I will spot a few for you in our industry. If you don’t like them, I will find one for you in entire America, no … the whole world. You will definitely be satisfied! How about it?”
Susan coldly glanced at him before turning around. “I only want a man in this world. That man’s name is Simnon!”
Seeing her walk out of the office without looking back, Chester felt very helpless.
However, he had no choice. After all, this stubborn girl was his sister.
After leaving Chester’s office, Susan was in a particularly bad mood. Although she had already mentally prepared herself, she got definite news from Chester. This feeling was different.
Simon really had another woman!
Not only that, but he would also get engaged! He would get engaged to someone else! How could this be?
Susan had loved Simon for so many years, but he wanted to marry someone else. Susan was completely unable to accept it and felt as if her world had collapsed.
She was muddle-headed, crying as she drove, and unconsciously arrived in front of the Petersen family’s gate.
of course, she did not drive to New York. The Petersen family also had two houses in LA.
“Ingrid…”
Sitting in the car, Susan called Ingrid and looked at the gate crying. Upon hearing her cry over the phone, Ingrid was startled. “Susan, what’s wrong? Don’t cry! If you have something to say, say it slowly!”
“Ingrid… Are you at home?” It was only now that she remembered to ask if Ingrid was at home after directly running over.
“Yes, I’m. Are you coming over?”
“Hey, I’m already at your gate. Can you open the door… Open the door.”
Susan was crying out of breath as if she was wronged.
“Ah? You’re at my door! Wait a minute!” Without hanging up, Susan heard Ingrid’s footsteps. After a while, she saw the door open and a head revealed.
Ingrid looked left and right, and then she saw the car that was parked in front of the gate. She hurriedly walked over. “Susan!”
Turning to look at her, Susan only shed tears.
“Why are you here alone? Come, come in with me. If you have something to say, say it slowly!”
Ingrid hurriedly went over to ask someone to open the gate and let Susan drive the car in When Susan got out of the car, she immediately hugged Ingrid’s neck. “Ingrid, what should I do? What should I do..”
.
.
“Don’t worry! Let’s go in first.” Gently coaxing Susan, Ingrid brought her into the house.
As soon as Susan entered the room, the warm air in the room hit her in the face, and there was a faint smell of incense in the air, which eased her tension.
Perhaps it was because Susan met her good friend, or perhaps it was because she had vented quite a bit of her emotions on the way here. After entering the room, she calmed down and no longer cried. However, she became silent and sat on the soft sofa quietly.
Ingrid instructed the servants to prepare some fruit tea and bring some snacks over. She then waved her hand to signal for them to leave. Only then did she pull Susan’s hand and say, “Can you tell me what exactly happened?”
Susan raised her eyes to look at Ingrid and blinked. Then, the tears in her eyes rolled down again.
Sighing, Ingrid took out a tissue and wiped off her tears, and said, “My heart hurts so much! who is so cruel to dare
make you angry? Let me guess!
“It must be … Si…” Ingrid dragged out her words but deliberately did not say the last syllable.
Susan opened her eyes wide as she looked at Ingrid. As she listened, tears began to fall again.
But this time, it was silent, and only her tears kept falling.
