Elliot repeatedly swallowed hard and his heartbeat increased rapidly. At that moment, it was clear to him that his self–control was on shaky legs.

He raised a hand, used it to lift Corynn’s chin, and planted a kiss on her soft lips. The faint taste of alcohol made the moment all the more intoxicating.
