Throughout the meeting, Elliot was visibly distracted, his thoughts repeatedly drifting back to Corynn.

What was she up to now? Had she eaten lunch yet? Was she getting enough rest? Questions about Corynn kept

swirling in his mind.

In a daze, Elliot subconsciously searched for his phone and looked for Corynn’s picture.

After a few swipes, his gaze landed on her pretty face, bright and resolute, exuding an aura of maturity and confidence. This Corynn was dazzling–far more radiant than the old Corynn, making it hard for Elliot to ignore

her.

As Elliot, absentmindedly traced the contours of Corynn’s face in the photo with his thumb, his usually steely expression softened into one of affection.

Just then, the person presenting during the meeting suddenly looked up and saw the doting look on Elliot’s face. He gulped, feeling a chill run down his spine.

What the hell was going on? Elliot had never shown a soft side to him before!
