Chapter 658
It was late at night,
Kevan finally finished work for the day, and he closed a file, putting down the pen in his hand. His personal phone did not ring at all.
Aster had gone to a closed-off winter camp organized by his kindergarten two days ago. He was not allowed to bring his phone, so Kevan lost contact with him.
A developed habit suddenly changing due to this made Kevan feel like he had lost his emotional support system. He worked harder than
ever, and he became a duller person.
Kevan leaned back into his chair tiredly, and he rubbed the aching spot between his eyes. It was nearly 12 am and he could see that the lights of the intemet company next door were still on through the wide floor-to-ceiling windows.
The bitterness in his heart gradually turned mid-at least, he was not the only person who was alone on such a late night.

Suddenly, he had the idea to call Dylan to accompany him. So, he called Dylan.
Ever since being abandoned by Kevan at the City Hall’s parking lot and having his thirty-plus calls ignored. Dylan did not reach out to Kevan anymore.
Any messages that Kevan sent received no responses too, and this time’s call was also ignored.
Kevan had plenty of time to waste with Dylan now.
He called again and again, and he sent one message after another. He went as far as to throw down a harsh threat. “Il you dort answer my call I will go to your house and park mysell there.”
Dylan finally answered his call, probably because he was scared of him. But his voice was very unfriendly. “What the luck are you calling me at night lor? Are you trying to pressure me into dying or some s hit? II you’re too f ucking lonely, go find a girl to help you out! Why are you bothering me?!
His voice was clear. It did not sound like he was woken up by Kevan’s calls.
Ignoring Dylan’s anger. Kevan asked in a self-serving manner. “Want to get a drink?”
“Drink my a ss, you f ucker!”
Kevan had just popped a bottle of whiskey when the private door opened. Dylan was still cursing him out, and he looked really annoyed.
“You crazy f ucker! Why did you call me out so late at night for??
Kevan handed over the filled glass of whiskey and said, “Try it, it’s not cheap.”
The words ‘it’s not cheap” were like a magic spell because Dylan held back all further negative emotions and tried the liquer at once. Savoring it slowly, he commented, “Not bad.”
Kevan did not drink like him, Instead, he finished off his glass within seconds. Without the whiskey as a barrier, the Ice cubes kept clinking against the glass.
