Chapter 690
Lewis was right. The police only arrested Janine long enough to question her and scold her before letting her go again,
They did not even ask her to settle things with Larissa in private.
The hotel reacted fast though. They fired Janine at once and paid her current month’s salary in full. They were afraid th
alraid that she might come
back and cause trouble again.
The security on Larissa’s floor had increased. The hotel’s assistant manager brought a group of his subordinates to visit Larissa as well
as apologize. He even brought a beautiful gift.
As they were all former colleagues. Larissa did not make things hard on them. They sat together and chatted for a while.
The assistant manager asked Larissa, “Ms. Seymour, will you still be coming back in the future?”
Larissa waved her hand.

“Nope! Do your best. The position of general manager will be yours soon!”
The assistant manager was like her. He had jumped ship from the Regal Dynasty.
He had reached a pretty high position back there. Also, his work ethic was amazing.
He was a few years older than Larissa. He had also entered the industry a few years earlier than Larissa had.
Larissa only ended up being his superior because she was directly transferred over from headquarters.
Although the assistant manager had not complained about it, Larissa still felt bad for him,
“Once I’ve officially gone through resignation with headquarters, I’ll tell them to promote you quickly!”
Everyone was loudly crowing about celebrating early for the assistant manager’s promotion except for the man himself. Although he was
smiling too, one could not really see his joy.
Lewis rebooked the flight tickets to Aldovia.
He had hoped that Larissa would take the opportunity to make things up with Kevan, which was why he kept delaying the progress of their
return.
Now that trouble had come looking for them, il Uncle Gary found out about all this and he had not left yet, the man would kick his as s.
Larissa had no objections to his decision.
On the day that they were leaving, there was still a good deal of reporters waiting outside the hotel.
Although Larissa and Kevan’s news had vanished from the trending list, they were still trending anyway.
Lewis sent Larissa down to the parking lot first. He only went back up to the first floor to check out after he had seen her enter the car.
The signal in the basement parking lot was s hit. Larissa stared at the blank WhatsApp message on her screen. She felt strangely annoyed.
A dark shadow suddenly fell over the window. She looked up to see that there was a man dressed in black peeking into the window.
He was wearing a black cap. A black mask covered his face. Only a pair of cruel eyes could be seen. He was not a good guy.
