Yelena calmly gazed at Hermione's disheveled state. "You can just record a video of what's happening right now and upload it online to show everyone just how I'm bullying you."

"Why you… I…" Hermione was covered in coffee stains, but despite her anger, she dared not protest upon hearing Yelena's words. If she were to offend Yelena openly, she certainly wouldn't get away with it. This was why she dared not say certain things to Yelena even though Yelena dared to point fingers and hurl accusations at her.

Therefore, she immediately switched from a tough stance to a softer approach. She quickly put on a hurt expression to gain sympathy from those around her, whining, "Yelena, have I offended you? Why are you treating me like this? We're all part of the same company! Besides, you came over here and pin the blame on me without any proof. Isn't that pure slander?"

Apparently, this trick worked, for those around her instantly displayed looks of confusion and puzzlement. Their stance was clear—most of them sided with Hermione.

Yelena could hear someone whispering nearby, "How can this woman act so high and mighty? She's bullying lesser-known actresses just because she's got power and influence."

Another argued, "Hermione isn't some unknown actress! She's got over 10 million fans. Yet, Yelena still dares to bully even someone like her. This proves that she doesn't give a damn about us at all."

A third person chimed in, "If she bullies even someone with over 10 million fans, then what about me, who has only a few hundred thousand fans? I'll be trampled underfoot…"

Yelena looked up and happened to meet Hermione's triumphant gaze. "Is this the outcome you were hoping for?"

Hermione thought that Yelena had been reduced to silence by online criticism. So, she blinked her eyes hard, squeezing out a few crocodile tears. "It's not like that. I just feel that I've been treated unfairly, so I wanted to clarify things."

The girl next to her immediately stepped forward and patted her shoulder. "Hermione, don't bother with her. What can you say to her, anyway? She's rich and powerful; it's good enough that she doesn't bully us."


Hermione nodded with an expression that said, 'I know that.'

Yelena couldn't help but burst into laughter as she stared at these two clowns cooperating as they threw accusations at her character.

Her laughter perplexed the people around her.

"What are you laughing at?" Hermione sized her up in confusion.

"What am I laughing at? I think you're funny, of course."

Just when Hermione was baffled, Yelena suddenly raised an eyebrow. The next moment, she pulled out her phone from her pocket and dialed a number. "Hey, are you there?" she asked in a tone completely different from earlier. If she had previously sounded like a tigress about to display its prowess, she now sounded like an obedient and adorable lamb. Her tone was almost coquettish, leaving those before her unsure how to react.

The voice from the other end of the line was faint and barely audible. Hermione strained her ears and listened but could only make out a few indistinct words. A moment later, Yelena hung up the phone and looked up with an imperturbable expression.

"Who did you just call?" asked Hermione.

Yelena picked her ears impatiently and replied, "Didn't you keep saying that I used my power and influence to bully others? Well, I'm following through on it."

The next moment, the office door swung open, and Elspeth strode in on four-inch heels. "What's going on here?"

Unexpectedly, it was the boss who arrived. Everyone around her fell silent, holding their breath and even stepping back a few paces to distance themselves from Hermione. After all, offending Yelena was one thing, but offending the boss was an entirely different matter.

Elspeth's gaze fell upon Hermione before her. She demanded, "Well? What's the matter? Do you have something to report?"

Hermione smiled awkwardly and stammered, "W-Well, the thing is… Boss, Yelena bullied…" She couldn't even manage to say the words 'bullied me'. She cursed her own timidity, but she genuinely couldn't utter a word in front of Elspeth.

"Yelena bullied you, right?"

Hermione thought Elspeth might not be as biased as she had initially believed. Instead, she might be fair and impartial. Immediately, she nodded in surprise, saying, "Yeah, that's right. Yelena came in, smashed my cup of coffee right away, and even insulted me. Boss, you have to help me." Isn't it just playing the victim? Anyone could do that.

Elspeth frowned and nodded. "Alright. I've understood the situation. Yelena insulted you, is that correct?"
