Shela gently stroked her arm and vented, “Elgin threw me into the lion’s den of men, what chance did I stand! To make them disgusted by me and keep their hands off me, I had to slash up my face so bad it would turn their stomachs!”

Her face twisted with fury. Her look could kill Letitia where she stood!

“How did you manage to escape?” Letitia asked.

“Heh, that’s none of your beeswax,” Shela shot back, “Letitia, you’ve wrecked everything for me, and I’m not gonna let you off the hook!”

“It’s all on you! All your fault!” Shela was losing it, “I know I’m a goner. Elgin won’t let me die, but he’ll make me wish I could! So, I’m gonna drag you down with me!”

“Ha ha ha ha, since Elgin’s so smitten with you, I’m gonna kill you! Make him pine for you for the rest of his miserable life, forever out of his reach! We both die, and he won’t get off easy either!”
