Chapter 38

Max seemed a bit down in the dumps.

He was lounging in bed, enjoying the care from his fiancée Orlena. She fed him and brought him water, with zero princess tantrums.

Orlena was a knockout, and Max wasn't the kind to sell himself short. He shooed his subordinates away and then had Orlena pinned under him.

Orlena's cheeks flushed and her fingers gently touched his chest whispering, "Get off, would you? You're injured."

Max's eyes were like a deep pool, filled with masculine aggression. She couldn't help but tremble. Soon, the atmosphere in the private ward heated up. Max's passion was irresistible, and it wasn't until two hours later that he finally let her go. Afterward, Orlena shyly snuggled up in his arms and asked coyly, "What's gotten into you today?"

Max lazily replied, "Nothing, just missing you."
