Eloise didn't say anything.

Max watched her in silence for a moment. He put down his drink, and stood up, "Dinner's ready."

Eloise was giving him the cold shoulder, "Max, you don't have to do this."

He cracked a smile at her words. He walked up to her, gently cupped her chin, then murmured, "Yeah, we don't have to do this, especially since you're treating me like I'm some big bad wolf. Eloise, do you hate me that much?"

Eloise stood still, refusing to shed a tear. Crying over a guy like Max was totally not worth it. She looked at him and whispered, "My love or hate for you won't change a thing."
