Seeing their concerned expressions, James asked, "Have you two also successfully overcome your tribulations?"
Truett and Adair looked at each other, then nodded simultaneously.
Abelard asked suspiciously, "What's in your hand?"
Rebelle guessed, 'The cuckoo?"
James raised the black cuckoo's corpse and said, "It seized the opportunity to snatch the Black Lotus from me."
Xitlaly asked hurriedly, "Did you get the lotus?"

James shook his head and said, "Something is really odd about the situation. Logically, Xayvion's cultivation rank wasn't even at the Yuraeceon Rank. How did he steal my Black Lotus? Why was I not able to catch up to him?"
James glanced at the cuckoo in his hand again and said, "When we reached the Hudde Passage, I realized something."
Curious, Adair's eyes widened. "What is it?"
Rebella said calmly, "The Black Lotus isn’t his Inner Demon, but he was using his body as a host."
Everyone present was shocked.
James pointed at Rebella and said, "Correct. I also suspect the Black Lotus isn't my Inner Demon. It was from a powerhouse but placed in my body like a parasite."
He turned to Truett and asked, "Do you remember when there was a misunderstanding between Thea and me at the Forladtt Land's first level?"
"Yeah. That's when you suddenly were corrupted by your Inner Demon." Teuett nodded.
James explained, "I placed a curse on Xayvion. However, it did not work. Still, he screamed in pain. I could tell it wasn't an act.
"I thought Xayvion was unaffected because he was from the Dark World. However, it worked fine when I cursed him and forced him to surrender. I was pretty confused by the situation.
"Now that I think about it, my curse didn't work on him the first time because he had the Black Lotus on him.
"When I cursed him, the Black Lotus secretly entered my body. Back then, I thought my Inner Demon corrupted me.
"After that, I kept the Black Lotus in my soul space. It did not cause any trouble because Lesia was suppressing it. While inside my storage space, it had been with me through a few tribulations. Moreover, it witnessed me obtain the boons on the Forladtt Land’s first and third level."
James took a deep breath and said, "The reason why the Black Lotus can copy my Supernatural Powers isn't because it has a consciousness, but because someone is controlling it."
