Chapter 6229
Out of all the major forces, the conflict within the Timaeus Sect was the worst. Although Gladwin was not the official leader, he was in charge of their sect's affairs and exercised the power equal to their leader.
Meanwhile, the Timaeus Sect's leader, Xachary, had been unable to leave seclusion for a long time and no longer held much power.
The ordinary invitations were already hard to distribute, but deciding who would take the supreme invitation was even more challenging.
Inside the Timaeus Sect's main hall, an intense debate over who would take the supreme invitation had begun after Xachary had made a reappearance.
Hundreds of great elders at the peak of the Yuraeceon Daelm Rank's Ninth Tribulation, as well as the Guardian and senior elders, knelt on the ground silently.

Gladwin sat in the highest glowing seat belonging to the sect leader with a gloomy expression.
Xachary and Thea sat below the highest platform, emitting potent auras.
Gladwin's eyes met with Xachary, and a smile immediately replaced his gloomy face. He stood up and asked, "Why did you leave seclusion so suddenly, Xachary."
Gladwin had addressed Xachary by his name and did not bother being respectful. It was clear Gladwin had no intentions of handing the sect over.
Xachary, however, was unfazed. He said smilingly, "Did I leave seclusion at a bad time and ruin your plans, Great Protector?”
Gladwin laughed and said, "No, of course not. We were just having a discussion. Yegor and Mattaniah certainly have ulterior motives and are scheming something. We’re trying to come up with a countermeasure against them.”
Xachary smiled silently in response. Then, he stood up and ascended the stairs to the highest platform. Thea followed closely behind him.
Everyone kneeling on the floor in the hall was horrified. It was evident Xachary had returned to claim his title back. However, Gladwin had no intention of backing down. Instead, he simply smiled as he watched Xachary approach.
They wondered whether the two peerless powerhouses of their sect were about to compete over the position. If that were to happen, they would be dragged into their conflict. Regardless of who won in the end, their lives would be put in danger during the process.
Suddenly, the main hall fell silent. It was like the calm before the storm.
