The Almighty Dragon General

In the Ying World, James was banished to the Leviathan Forest by Yukha.
Gazing ahead at the vast expanse of the forest, hearing the roars of countless spirit beasts, he felt a tingling sensation on his scalp.
These creatures were different from ordinary monsters, formidable in strength and each possessing vast powers. Trying to capture 20 phoenixes and 20 nine-tailed foxes alive without causing harm was simply daunting.
Just then, accompanied by the cry of a phoenix, a phoenix carrying blazing flames spread its massive wings and swiftly soared by, creating a fierce heatwave and powerful gusts in its wake.
Wherever it passed, almost all the spirit beasts lowered their heads simultaneously, and the previous clamor ceased instantly.
James immediately unleashed the Terrastride Step and the Dawnblaze Form, swiftly mounting the phoenix's neck.
With another piercing cry, the phoenix suddenly spoke, “How dare you offend me?"

The voice was male, unmistakably that of a phoenix.
While people were aware of phoenixes, many were unaware that there were male phoenixes and female phoenixes, both of which were divine beings.
Facing the blazing flames on the phoenix's body, James slapped its neck irritably. "What are you roaring for? I'm just riding you for a while, how is that an offense?"
The phoenix suddenly made a swift dash to soar into the sky. The flames burned even more vigorously. It intended to shake James off this way.
However, James swiftly maneuvered and stepped directly onto its head. He followed its movements, rising and falling with its fury, showing no intention of letting go.
Frustrated, the ferocious phoenix suddenly transformed into a burning phantom figure, launching a rapid attack at James.
Under the Supernatural Powers of James' Terrastride Step and the Dawnblaze Form, it could not even touch the hem of his garment.
After tens of thousands of rounds, it was left breathless by James' teasing.
"What are you up to?" The phoenix finally became thoroughly enraged. "I know you're the Chosen One, but we're unlike other spirit beasts. We have dignity too."
James smirked and shrugged. "I just want to ask for a little favor. Why are you so worked up? Since you know I'm the Chosen One, don't you think you should show some respect?"
This irritated the phoenix even more, and it took a deep breath. “What do you want? If you're after my feathers, forget it, I won't give you anything."
"I'm not interested in your stuff," James said dismissively. "I just need your favor."
