Matias settled onto the ground, summoning a wine gourd and taking a long draught. Though he remained silent, his actions spoke volumes, conveying his decision.
Princess Lumia and Wayra looked at him in surprise.
“Will you not reconsider, Matias?" asked Wayra.
“What about becoming the Jercente Sect's Leader?" Princess Lumia chimed in, equally urgent.
Matias set down his wine gourd, and said, “While Forty-nine has only crossed paths with us once, his comprehension of us and the Genesis Worlds surpasses our own. While I can't claim to represent my sect, I can certainly choose on my own behalf."
With his declaration made, he turned toward James and said, “You're right. I don't know about the others, but I refuse to spend my life as a servant or become a pawn for someone else's ambitions."
Princess Lumia and Wayra exchanged uneasy glances.

James said smilingly, “You don't need to hesitate so much. You can either walk through the door or sit down like Matias to chat with me."
Princess Lumia exchanged a glance with Wayra, seemingly reaching a decision. With determination, she gritted her teeth and sat on the ground.
Observing Princess Lumia's choice, Wayra's eyes widened in shock. “What do you two mean by this? Didn't we agree to stay in the same boat? Why are you two abandoning me?"
Princess Lumia looked at him and replied, “We can't choose for you. You must decide for yourself. After all, it's your life that will be on the line."
Wayra hesitated, then turned to James and asked, “This place isn't under Tai Chi's surveillance, right?"
James chuckled and answered, “It's my personal space, and isn't under Tai Chi's jurisdiction."
“In that case, what's there to worry about?" Wayra shrugged, then sat down.

from his spatial storage, handing them over to the trio. The three were momentarily stunned, slightly caught off guard by the sudden gesture. “Not
