Chapter 6635
James' initial plan was to get to the very top of the pyramid and arrive at the entrance leading to the fifth level of the Forladtt Land.
However, James stopped abruptly just as he was trying to exit the sixth floor of the Pyramid Battlefield.
He could sense a mysterious, overwhelming restriction suppressing him. James could not manage to overcome the restriction even though he had the Ultimate Golden Body and powers of the Fifth Xaeclon Rank.
Yegor and Herodias quickly noticed that James had fallen behind. They returned to his side.
"What's the matter?" Herodias asked.
Ì suppose it's because my cultivation is not enough." James remained in the same spot. "I guess not everyone can make it to the entrance of the Great Historial Land."
Yegor and Herodias understood the situation almost immediately. The couple had achieved the Ninth Xaeclon Rank, but James was only on the Fifth Xaeclon Rank.
Yegor knitted his brows. "Is there no other way for US to help you get through here?"
"There is a way." James said flatly, "I can move past any restriction or formation by performing the Terrastride step.
"I can even get to the Great Historial Land if I want to. However, I'm not going to do that."

"Why?" Herodias was confused. "Don’t you want to get to the Forladtt Land's fifth level as soon as possible?”
"I do, but I don't think I should rush things like that."
James continued, "I should stop here and work on improving my cultivation for now.
"Besides, even if I get to the entrance of the Great Historial Land by using the quick way, there's no guarantee that I am allowed to access it.
"Also, there might be dire consequences if I were to force my way into the Great Historial Land."
After listening to James’ explanation, Yegor and Herodias looked at each other and smiled warmly.
Normally, people would choose to take shortcuts to achieve their goals regardless of the risk. However, James was cautious and cool-headed. When it came to a person's intellect and maturity, James was much better than most cultivators in that regard.
"You've changed." Yegor’s smile broadened. "You're calmer and more mature now."
James smiled bitterly. "You probably think that I'm weak-minded."
"No. You are simply being cautious." Yegor replied, "At our level of cultivation, it takes constant, arduous effort to improve and level up.
"Yet, we might easily meet our end if we don’t act cautiously enough.”
"I'm not afraid of dying." James sighed, "However, it would be a shame if I were to die recklessly."
Herodias grinned. "Alright, then! Let's explore the sixth floor of this pyramid now."
Yegor laughed. "I was curious if we would run into any familiar faces on this level anyway."
"There may be surprises waiting for US here," James said.
Then, he shot toward the huge ball of light, where the pyramid's sixth floor was located.
Yegor and Herodias swiftly followed behind him.
The three of them soon found that the pyramid's sixth floor was very different from the fourth floor which had a dull and gloomy atmosphere.
