These men even gave themselves a flashy name, the Ultimate Cosimeonar Path.
Not only did they want to rule over everyone in and below the Fortieth Heaven, but they also requested everyone to follow the Ultimate Cosimeonar Path and train using their theory and methods.
At first, the temples and factions that were targeted were opposed to this.

Unfortunately, they did not have enough manpower, especially elite cultivators, to resist. They had lost numerous Soma Daeclon Rank cultivators back when James attacked them.
A bloodbath was what it took to make those in and below the Fortieth Heaven surrender.
Moreover, some betrayed their own people and helped the Ultimate Cosimeonar Path to seize control of that region.

The Path Emperor would hold the highest position in the Ultimate Cosimeonar Path, coming just second to the two Path Masters, and leading their members.
Thirdly, they would set up arenas for different ranks and let members fight to secure open positions in the Ultimate Cosimeonar Path.
The participants would have to eliminate all opponents to be appointed to their desired positions.
Those from in and below the Fortieth Heaven were still indignant about being defeated. Nonetheless, they were intrigued by the privilege that came with the mentioned conditions.
After all, they were not sure if the Law of Paths would ever be able to return to the Fortieth Heaven.
They most definitely could not just leave the position of the leader for their region empty.
The Ultimate Cosimeonar Path also did not specify that participants must use their Path during the matches. That gave them a lot of freedom in their battle tactics.
It was the perfect opportunity for everyone to become someone important and influential.
