James was touched by Morgott's actions since he knew what it meant for Morgott to help Thea escape.
The news of Thea getting to safety gave James a great sense of relief as well.
"Xanthakos!" Morgott bellowed, "I'm back! The last time we met was millions of entrapochs ago, right? Prepare to die!"
Xanthakos was still in a seated position with the Gate of Mystery found just a few steps behind him.
The man opened his eyes and grinned maliciously.
"Emperor Kaelisar, what makes you think you can succeed this time?"
"We have me and James on our side." Morgott jutted his chin out. "Sadly, you’re on your own."
Xanthakos dissolved into laughter upon hearing those remarks.
"Your powers combined amount to almost nothing... Huh?" Before he could finish, Xanthakos spotted James spreading his arms out.
In the blink of an eye, countless balls of sword light were cast outward.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
There were sounds of objects cutting through the air as those balls of sword light flew toward the emperors and supreme beings found at the periphery of the Fortieth Heaven.
In a matter of seconds, those people were attacked. The balls of sword light pierced through those men’s Golden Bodies, killing some of them instantly.
For a moment, people were screaming in pain, and blood splattered everywhere.
"Normally, it is faster to defeat a troop if we just subdue their leader first."
James began, "Let’s do the opposite today, Morgott. We have nothing to lose anyway. We will make them pay a hefty price for trapping US here with the Gate of Mystery and the Wuinfinite Formation."
Morgott understood James' plan instantly. He threw the Tyrant Spear into the air. In an instant, the spear split and formed thousands of shadow spears.
The shadow spears went after the supreme beings, exterminating their targets one after another.
"Hahaha! I'm always impressed by your quick wit, James. You're right. Since they are trapping US here, we should pay back by killing all of his subordinates and disciples!"
Then, Morgott shot up and headed for the fleeing supreme beings and emperors as well.
Even Xanthakos could no longer keep his composure as he took in the horrendous sight around him. "Damn it! That stubborn demon!”
Xanthakos moved. His eyes set on Morgott.
At that moment, James demonstrated the Terrastride Step and the Dawnblaze Form. He took a few steps forward and blocked Xanthakos' path.
With the Jozo Sword in his hand, James radiated the Sohnwer Light all over. "Your opponent is right here."
Xanthakos yelled furiously, "James, you and I were friends! Do you seriously want to take that demon's side and become my enemy?"
"Don't you see all those who refuse to obey your command as demons?"
James replied flatly, "The Emperor Jabari and Mr. Franciscus that I got to know was nothing like you.
"To me, they are either missing or no longer in this world. You are not them."
