Chapter 7024
James looked at Lesia and gradually shut his eyes. "Does my wife know all this too?"
Lesia replied, "She's aware of some of it. But since she hasn't fully regained her identity as the Yin governor, she hasn’t regained all of her memories."
James was struck by a mix of shock, emotion, and sorrow. He thought to himself, 'My silly wife. Even though she only knows fragments of the truth, she could've still shared them with me. With just one word, I would seize the position of Supreme Path without any questions. I could even challenge the Nine Nothingness Gods if she asked."
After pondering for a while, James opened his eyes and asked, "What else have you hid from me? Lay it all out now. I don’t want any more secrets."
Lesia looked at James and asked anxiously, "Are...are you not angry?”
"Of course, I'm furious. According to you, all my wife's sufferings stem from the Leere Tribulation, which you've tasked her to resolve," James responded, discontent evident in his voice.
"Why don't you fix the mess you've made yourself? Is it because you hold yourself in such high regard that you're not willing to?"
Lesia fell silent.
James smiled bitterly and said, ''But thinking about it, if you hadn't tasked my wife with such a burdensome duty, I might never have crossed paths with her. Forthat, I owe you thanks!”
Lesia chuckled in relief after hearing James' words.
"I thought you were really going to turn against me."

James looked at her, extended her hand, and said, "If you don't give it to me, I might."
Taken aback, Lesia asked, "What do you mean?"
James replied, "Don't play dumb. I'm not oblivious to your habit of stealing my Chaos Absinthe. You’ve accumulated quite a lot, no? Ms. Herodias had given me quite a lot."
After a brief pause, Lesia burst into laughter.
She waved her hand, and more than a dozen jars of Chaos Absinthe floated before James.
Without hesitation, James took them all, uncorked one, and devoured its content.
Lesia felt relieved after watching him.
She felt the need to reflect on herself. She had underestimated James' intellect, comprehension, and even his foresight.
For someone as proud as James, being manipulated was a significant blow to his pride and dignity, and it was difficult to accept.
However, James accepted it with remarkable calmness, showing no anger but rather trying to understand it from a different perspective. He was a real man who knew when to let go of anger and think of the bigger picture.
In him, the spirit of enduring criticism with a calm demeanor, even stooping low for the greater good, shone brightly.
If a person like James could not achieve greatness, then who else would be worthy?
After drinking half a jar of the Chaos Absinthe, James set it down and asked, "Should I continue negotiating with Qadeer?"
Lesia replied smilingly, "Absolutely. We're still in the Gate of Mystery, remember? Even though you've entered the Zenthur Rank, it's impossible to escape this place."
James looked at Qadeer trapped outside the Nothingness Formation. "Is he really Emperor Jabari and Franciscus?”
Lesia sighed and answered, "I know what you're thinking. People embody both good and evil. His Soremsia is no exception.
"If he desires kindness, he can surpass all beings. If he leans toward malice, he could embody pure evil.
"It's unfortunate that he has strayed too far. His lust for power had already blinded his eyes. In the end, he became the very devil he condemns."
James shrugged, "He is willing to risk it all for his goal. Is there anything he actually cares about?”
Lesia replied, "He wants to become the Supreme Path and also yearns for the Waitara Path’s return. Perhaps he might even harbor some affection for his children.
James turned around and looked at Lesia. "Do you remember Lucille Babs?'
