“One’s words and actions shape karma. Karma determines calamity. Calamity determines success and failure. Success and failure determine fortune and misfortune. The myriad beings of Haleth Realm are not possessions, nor are they slaves. Their destiny cannot be solely dictated by fate or constrained by laws and Daoism.
“This is the decree of the Law of Paths and should be the standard for Haleth Realm. Your comprehension of Daoism surpasses grand ambitions and even the Law of Paths itself. It should shine eternally at the pinnacle of the firmament.”
Hearing Wesley’s heartfelt words, James slowly closed his eyes. The red-gold light around him calmed, and much of his killing intent faded.
Seeing this, the other main self of James suddenly burst into loud laughter.
“Wesley Shepherd, you’ve spoken so many useless words. In the end, aren’t you just tricking me into becoming a compliant subject under the Law of Paths?

“In your words, forsaking your Path is heresy and demonic. Now that I’ve abandoned the Path and embraced the demonic path, what of it?”
Wesley was momentarily stunned upon hearing this. He had almost forgotten that another James’ main self had not been influenced by the Quintar Mantra. If this continued, the recently calmed James would revert to his violent and malevolent state, possibly becoming even more dangerous.
Wesley was anxious but did not dare to act rashly. Instead, he immediately communicated with Taiyi. “Hand over the Yin governor.”
The severely injured Taiyi was taken aback and replied, “She hasn’t awakened yet...”
“James has a way,” Wesley interrupted. “Hurry, Taiyi, or the situation will spiral out of control.”
Hearing wesley's urgency, Taiyi took a deep breath and waved her hand. The unconscious Thea, wrapped in a black-and-white gas, was immediately sent before the other James.
Seeing Thea, the initially murderous James’ main self froze.
“Darling!”
Calling out softly, James' main self reached out, shattering the black-and-white light around Thea with avast red-gold light. In a flash, he caught Thea and struck her with his palm.
Witnessing this, the gods in the distant void, including the Divine Marius, widened their eyes in shock.
