I sat in silence, my eyes glued to the screen as the footage played. I recognized myself in the video immediately. There I was, sitting at a table, talking casually with a friend. The drinks were served, and 1 watched myself take a sip.

Something about the scene felt off, so I rewound the video. That’s when I saw it–the waiter slipping something into my drink.

My breath hitched. I wasn’t expecting that.
