"What do you mean you won't get me a passport?" I growl at the Storm River Beta.

"I'm sorry Luna but the Alpha will have my head if I were to have any part in sending you into the lion's den!" Carter states as he shakes his head, "If anyone should go, it's me and Beta Spencer."

I scoff, "And who the fuck is going to protect you when they use their magic?"

You don't know what it did to him when Lila fucked with him and then when you got with Gavin. He held on to hope, though, and now that he has you, he will take out anything and anyone who puts you in danger."
