Chapter 24

He had a hunch that the woman at the engagement party was Allison but now how could it possibly be?

This woman had approached him with a purpose and a plan. She hadn’t shown up for the elective class for two weeks, but appeared on the day he gave the lecture. It was the same at the Flanagan family’s house, continuously drawing his attention. But who would’ve thought she would turn out to be a loose and vain kind of person

Thinking of this, Lucian suddenly opened his eyes, his gaze cold and profound. He reached out, abruptly pushing the documents in front of him. His slender fingers clenched, and his fist hit the table, making a dull sound.

Allison had been resting at home for a whole morning before she recovered. After lunch, she was called over by Margo.

In the midst of their conversation, Margo noticed a love bite on Allison’s fair neck, immediately seizing it like evidence. “Oh my, did you go fooling around with some riff–raff? I knew you weren’t as pure as you seemed. Don’t forget, you’re using the identity of the young

lady. If Mr. Lindberg finds out you’ve been up to no good, wait and see how the lady punishes you!”
