Chapter 87
At this point, Carter stood up and said, “After all, this is your own family matter, it’s not our place to butt in Lucian, we should go.”
Hearing this, Christopher promptly got up to see them out, with Cora helping Carter leave the scene.
As Lucian walked past Allison, he paused, his gaze falling on Allison’s face as if he wanted to say something But in the end, he kept his lips seated and just like that, they left the Flanagan family
Once the Lindberg family had left, Penelope couldn’t hide her emotions any longer. She pointed at Allison and yelled, “You’re such a little bitch, stealing and then trying to blame Margol
“Shut it!” Christopher said, his face filled with rage. “Don’t bring this up again, I know Allison isn’t like that.”
“Dad Penelope turned around angrily
Lean quickly tried to calm her down ‘Okay, okay, you’re pregnant, don’t get worked up.” She then glared at Christopher. “All you do is protect her, if the ring really was lost, how would you explain to the Lindberg family?

Hearing this, Christopher’s face changed. He hesitated for a moment, then said to Allison who had been silent all along. “Allison, I know you’ve always been a good kid. Your mum is sick and needs money, if you’re having any trouble, remember to tell me.”
Allison felt a bitter taste in her throat.
Christopher saying these words clearly meant he didn’t trust her.
In his eyes, she was someone who would steal for her sick mother.
If even he thought so, others might think even worse…
She swallowed down her discomfort and replied in a low voice, “I understand, Mr. Flanagan.”
Meanwhile in the car on the way home.
Carter suddenly asked the sitting Cora, “What’s your take on Penelope losing her ring?”
J
Cora was taken aback, not expecting Carter to bring this up, especially with Lucian not in the car.
She pondered for a moment, then answered, “I think the maid was framed. Although the ring was found in her bag, judging from the reaction of the butler and the maid, I lean towards the butler setting her up.”
She was a bit puzzled, “Dad, why are you suddenly interested in such trivial matters?”
Carter, who had seen all sorts of people in business over the years, could see through things that she could.
Carter just smiled, not answering her question but instead asked, “Who do you think Margo was acting on behalf aof?”
