Aurora hesitated briefly, watching Allison gradually distance herself before catching up, “I think I’ll join you heading west. When we hit the fence, we can turn back. But West doesn’t seem to have anything exciting.”

They were in a primordial forest, almost untouched by humans. Weeds grew wild, and bugs and small animals were everywhere. A few minutes in, Allison felt an itch on her neck, as if something had bitten her. She sprayed some itch relief from her bag and wrapped a scarf around her

Aurora was well–off and used to the good life. This was her first time in a place like this, but she wasn’t being high–maintenance. If a bug bit her, she just sprayed some bug repellent. She followed Allison, but the further she went, the more scared she got, “Allison, do you think there could be snakes here?”
