Chapter 282: Lydia’s Ex

Lydia looked at Harry Incredulously. There was no way she was letting him follow her anywhere.

As though he could read her mind, Harry walked closer.

"If you want to meet that gallery director, this is the only way," he said and she went pale. Was he listening to her call while he was downstairs? How good were his ears?

She could tell he was serious. If she wanted to leave the house, she had to leave with him. He had been acting this way for a while and it was frustrating how clingy he was being.

Harry did not care. He was not stupid. It took a while, but he suddenly realised his girlfriend was from the stone family. He was not worried about the Madisons, Shaws or even the Greys hurting her. He was worried about those her family had sword allegiance to.

"You should go in and change, you don't want to meet him that way, right?" he asked and she nodded, turned around and walked back into the house.

No matter what, she had a meeting she needed to attend and had no time to deal with them.

She rushed upstairs and changed into a plait dress, before rushing down. She did not bother to dry her hair, figuring it would dry on the drive there. When she stepped out of the house, a car was waiting at the front door. She noted that Harry was in the driver's seat and Mark sat in front next to him. She opened the car door and sat in the back quietly.

"I am going to the Hyacinth Gallery. Do you know where it is?" she asked them and Harry nodded.

On the drive over, she winded down the glass to let air into the car. She wanted to dry out her hair.

Harry lifted his eyes and watched Lydia through the rear view mirror. He saw Lydia running her hand through her hair, using the wind as a blow-dryer.

Harry felt his throats go dry as he watched her. She was beautiful. Being watched that long, Lydia finally noticed Harry's heated gaze. It made her uncomfortable. She wondered if he were judging her for using the wind to dry her hair, so she stuck out her tongue at him and looked away.

The little action made Harry turn hot. He was not sure what to do with her.
