Chapter 937

Susan’s face twisted with fury and envy, but when Callum glanced over, she switched to a smile in an instant.

In the few seconds Callum had to observe, he caught a glimpse of Susan’s two-faced charade. With a sardonic chuckle to himself but a practiced grin on his face, he said, “Susan, what happened? Couldn’t charm Mr. Sinclair into giving you a ride home?”

He hadn’t seen what went down in the VIP lounge, but he had a pretty good hunch about Susan’s intentions-she must have pulled out all the stops trying to seduce Lysander, and failed!

Susan’s forced smile stiffened for a moment, but she quickly reverted to a coquettish one. “Oh, Mr. Gordon, you jest. Mr. Sinclair and I have only met a few times. Why would he take me home? We’re hardly old friends.” Despite not outright denying her desire to go home with Lysander, her words remained playful.

Callum had to give her credit for being so brazen about her ambitions.

“If you’re looking for assistance, maybe I can be of service.” With that, Callum sidestepped her and walked away.

Susan’s pulse quickened as she spun around to face his retreating back. “Mr. Gordon, are you saying you can help me win over Lysander?”
