Chapter 1021

“Alright, I’m on it.” Thalassa muttered, not wasting a single second. She leapt out of bed and made a beeline for the door.

As she hurried, her legs momentarily gave way, nearly sending her tumbling to the floor. But with a fierce determination, she steadied herself and powered through the weakness in her legs, making a swift exit and remembering to shut the door behind her.

She stepped into the elevator alone and pressed the button for the basement level.

Susan was surely waiting in the lobby for her signal.

But Thalassa needed to slip out of the hotel through the basement to quickly make her way back to Royal Estates to see Atticus about deleting that video.

She had given Lysander the slip, making up an excuse to leave the room. She knew once Lysander got started, it would be hours before he’d be satisfied.

And she couldn’t wait that long nor could Susan. If Susan didn’t get her signal in time, she’d become a bundle of nerves and might recklessly set out on her own. If Susan found Thalassa and Lysander together, in the heat of the moment, who knows what she might do? Thalassa couldn’t bear the consequences.

Susan had come to the hotel prepared, with that particular drug and an assistant, and wouldn’t give up easily. If she didn’t get the signal, she’d undoubtedly find a way to obtain a key card and get into Lysander’s room.
