Chapter 1133

“My boss let me off work two hours early, and here I am, just standing on the curb, clueless about where to go next,” Thalassa mused, her gaze drifting over the endless stream of cars, still at a loss.

“Where are you? I’ll come pick you up. I’ve been bored out of my mind, too, with no one to hang with. Can’t believe you’re flying solo as well,” Hertha exclaimed with a hint of surprise in her voice.

“Nah, just tell me where you are. I’ll grab a cab over there, no need for you to come get me,” Thalassa replied.

Hertha rattled off her location.

Before long, Thalassa arrived at the address, a bar where the technicolor lights danced over Hertha, who was sipping on a drink while enjoying the performance of a singer crooning at the bar.

Thalassa made her way over and settled down beside her, asking, “What’s with the daytime bar-hopping?”

“Just killing time,” Hertha said, snapping back from her reverie. She pushed a freshly ordered juice towards Thalassa, “You’re expecting, so no alcohol for you. Have some juice instead.”

Thalassa took a grateful sip and asked, “What’s up with you? You look even more down than I
