The reporter droned on, but Thalassa was miles away, her focus entirely on the figure behind the journalist - Lysander. She observed his expressions, his gestures, catching his lips moving, forming words. Though the broadcast only carried the reporter's voice, leaving Lysander's words swallowed by silence, Thalassa's heart raced as she tried to catch what he was saying, desperately attempting to read his lips despite her lack of skill in lip-reading.

She missed most of what was said, but the last few words were crystal clear.

"I agree!"

If she saw right, those were indeed his words!

Realizing the context in which he said those words sent a sharp, acute pain through Thalassa's heart, making her breath catch.

Then, on the TV screen, Joshua flashed a satisfied smile, taking Rosalind's hand and placing it in Lysander's, binding their hands together with a look of complete contentment.

Rosalind, looking both elegant and sweet, sneaked peeks at Lysander, radiating happiness.

Even without hearing the words, Thalassa understood the situation all too well.
