Before Thalassa could even turn around, Callum was already in front of her, his hands pressing down on her shoulders, his eyes - warm and earnest - locked onto hers. "Thalassa, I told you three years ago, I've been in love with you. I've waited three years; don't you know by now how I feel?"

The grip Callum had on Thalassa's shoulders was firm, betraying his emotional turmoil. His gaze, too, turned desperate.

This intensity from Callum sent a wave of panic through Thalassa. Her eyes, wide and shimmering, were just about to respond.

Suddenly, from the corner of her eye, she spotted a sleek black limousine gliding past, its presence commanding, impossible to ignore. The windows were down, and inside, a man with deep, piercing eyes watched her, reminiscent of a wolf in the night. The city's neon lights flicked through his gaze, casting a haunting luminescence akin to the glow of a predator's eyes in the darkness.

It was Lysander!

Even from just a glimpse of his eyes, Thalassa recognized him. The man in the car was Lysander!
