Since he was his own flesh and blood, Joshua felt it was only right to bring the child home, to raise him as a true Whitman, and not let rumors spread that the boy was merely adopted. "What? The child was kidnapped before ending up in the orphanage? Oh, that poor kid," the director said, her eyes brimming with sympathy as she looked at the little boy in Joshua's arms. He should have had a wealthy and warm family, should have grown up healthy, cheerful, and outgoing. Instead, he was abandoned at a young age and now, due to a lack of love and attention, he was diagnosed with autism.

"And his condition..." the director still showed concern for the child.

Joshua replied, "I'll find the best psychiatrist for him."

As he said this, Joshua's gaze shifted to the single bed behind the director, where another little boy sat, huddled and looking just as vulnerable. "What about this child?" Joshua inquired.

"Oh, he's an orphan. Both his parents died in a car crash shortly after he was born. Not long after, his maternal grandparents also passed away, heartbroken. The child ended up all alone," the director explained.

"I saw a lady earlier who seemed quite close to him. Is she planning to adopt him?" Joshua asked, noting the shared plight between the boy and his own son, which piqued his concern.

"The lady came with a younger woman. They took the child from the orphanage for a while, promising him a better life, though they didn't say anything about adoption. They mentioned giving him a bit of happiness for a time. But just earlier, they explained that due to their busy schedules, they couldn't look after him for a bit and had to bring him back to the orphanage. They said they'd come back for him after some time," the director shared.

Joshua listened and pondered for a moment. He was unsure what Angelina was up to, borrowing a child from the orphanage and then returning him when it got inconvenient.
