Chapter 1964

Hertha quickly slung her bag over her shoulder, shoved her phone inside, and prepared to head out to Royal Estates to find Thalassa! She wanted to see if Thalassa had gone through with the marriage. If so, she was dying to get a glimpse of what their marriage certificate looked like.

Hertha, full of energy, had just left her office when she spotted a hunk walking towards her from across the street! The guy was dressed in a beige suit, his face so enchantingly beautiful it could put women to shame. Especially those mesmerizing, fox-like eyes of his-they seemed to captivate souls with just one glance. With his hands casually tucked in his pockets, he had that bad-boy charm about him. Smiling, he approached Hertha, "Hey Hertha, fancy bumping into you here. Just got off work? How about we grab some dinner together?"

Hearing the man's cheeky voice snapped Hertha back to reality, and she rolled her eyes at him, "Move it, I don't have time for your games." She brushed past him and kept walking.

Alaric followed closely behind: "Where are you headed? Let me give you a lift."

"I've got my own ride, thanks." Hertha didn't even turn back to reply.

"Come on, driving alone is so boring. It's the conversations that make the journey. That's what life's all about," Alaric kept up with Hertha, smiling, refusing to leave her side.
