Hertha's eyes sparkled with a mocking glee, piercing through the silence of the room.

"You're lying. After three years, who would remember such trivial details about someone irrelevant?" Georgia retorted, her face a shade of stormy gray as she tried to counter Hertha's remarks.

Alaric felt a heavy sadness within him, unsure of Hertha's intentions. His eyes, sharp and probing, looked at Hertha with a mix of scrutiny and sorrow.

"Interestingly, the receptionist is head over heels for Alaric. She was so enchanted by him that she remembered everything about their first encounter three years ago, afraid she'd forget him. If you don't believe me, ask him yourself," Hertha sneered, tilting her chin towards Alaric, prompting Georgia to question him.

"Alaric, is this true?" Georgia, caught up in the moment, actually turned to Alaric.

"She's not wrong," Alaric replied solemnly.

Even though Hertha's words were a blend of truth and lies, he couldn't bring himself to expose her.
