"Bright Town."

When Elijah spotted Amber approaching, he quickly walked over to her, his usual stern demeanor softening into one of warmth and politeness as he took the items from her hands. "What took you so long?"

Feeling his grip on her hand, Amber chuckled lightly, "I wanted to pick up some gifts for your parents, got a bit held up."

"You didn't have to, your presence is more than enough."

As Amber glanced at Octavia still kneeling on the ground, she inquired, "Who's that?"

"Just a passerby."

Elijah shrugged off his jacket and draped it over her shoulders, "It's getting late, let me show you around. My mom will be moving back in soon."

"Sounds good."

Octavia, witnessing Elijah's tenderness towards someone else, something she had once exclusively enjoyed, couldn't help but regret her decisions. Had she known Elijah would rise again, she might not have severed ties with the Ulbricht family. But who could predict the future?

Amber, well-acquainted with Elijah, guessed that Octavia was here to beg for mercy. The only mystery to her was whether Elijah still harbored any feelings for Octavia.

In the end, it didn't matter. She and Elijah were married now.
