Brittany let loose on Patrina’s face with slaps from both hands, leaving Patrina dazed with the sudden assault.
The girls standing behind Patrina were equally stunned. They had been bullying Brittany for a while now, but this was the first time she had fought back.
Patrina, clutching her stinging face, broke down, “You bitch, how dare you hit me!”
Brittany didn’t hesitate, slapping her again. “What’s wrong with hitting you? You’re so uncultured. Since Robert isn’t here, it’s my duty as a sister to teach you some manners.”
Over the years, she had suffered in silence. But now, she was done taking in the abuse without resistance.
“From now on, if you dare to insult me, each word you say will earn you a slap.”
“Now, get lost!”
Brittany’s good mood was totally ruined. In a complete change from her usual meek demeanor, her words were strong and decisive.
Patrina, clutching her face, didn’t dare to shed a tear. The girls behind her seemed scared too. A few of them helped Patrina leave.
Brittany’s palm tingled from the slapping. She took a deep breath and turned to Isaac, feeling guilty for getting him into this mess, ‘Zakky, I’m sorry. I dragged you into this.”
Isaac was surprised. He had never seen this timid girl stand up for herself. His suppressed anger began to fade.
“Sit down.”

Brittany collected herself and tried to switch the topic when the food arrived.
Outside the restaurant, Patrina realized she’d been scared off by Brittany and felt humiliated. She was furious.
Her friends tried to comfort her. “Patty, is that guy Brittany’s husband? He’s quite handsome.”
How did Brittany manage to get her hands on such a catch, first dating Finn and now married to
this hunk?
“What’s so great about him? He’s just a pretty boy.”
Patrina scoffed, “Who knows where Brittany found this man. He’s nothing compared to Finn.”
Her friends was silent.
Sure, Finn was great. But he didn’t want to marry Patrina anymore, so what was the point?.
Back at the Dustin family, Patrina couldn’t simply accept being slapped like this. She hired at

Brittany really had some nerve, even having the money to keep a man!
Brittany’s studio was opening soon, and Patrina decided to prepare a special gift to ‘celebrate’ the occasion.
After they had their fill at the restaurant, Brittany got up to pay the bill. The waiter glanced at Isaac, seemingly surprised that the woman was paying.
“Miss, this way, please.”
At the cashier, the woman smiled and took the bill. The next second, she turned to Brittany.
“Congratulations, miss. You’re our 100,000th customer, and you get a 90% discount.”
“Really?”
Brittany felt like she’d just caught a pie falling from the sky. She was happy but also a bit suspicious as she never had such good luck before.
The cashier nodded earnestly, “Yes, congratulations, miss.”
