When we’re done, we lay on the ground, catching our breath. Kai comes over and licks her face, rubbing against her face and neck, encouraging her.

When Kai nuzzles her awake later, we get up and head back home. The pace is slower. Artemis is still tired. When we get home, I shift back and reach down to grab my clothes.
