Cayden kept questioning Yuvan about various pregnancy safety precautions after learning that Avery was expecting.

Yuvan gave him a lot of advice, and he paid extra close attention. He even recorded everything Yuvan said because he was worried he might not remember the details clearly.

After that, he even asked Yuvan to prepare a thorough document about pregnancy tips for him.

Yuvan recommended him numerous well-known maternity books that explained in detail the causes of and solutions for various issues that pregnant women face both before and after giving birth.

While Cayden took note of everything cautiously, Avery grew drowsy.

This wasn't their first child, and Avery didn't expect Cayden to take things so seriously.

Before he left, Yuvan said in a teasing manner, “I have to tell you one more thing, Avery. You don't have to feel embarrassed after hearing it.”

At that, Avery turned toward him in puzzlement.

What does he mean by that? Why would I feel embarrassed?

Following that, Yuvan immediately shifted the topic to Cayden. “Actually, this is mainly about you. I just want to let you know that while it is possible to have sex when pregnant, you should keep yourself under control because Avery's body is frail and delicate whereas you are in your prime. Just look at your muscular build. Her body might not be able to handle your...”

“Cut the crap!”

Cayden got to his feet and grabbed a pillow to hurl it at Yuvan. The latter held his forehead and yelled in pain after he was struck squarely in the head.

Cayden didn't want outsiders mentioning such a private topic, and he was even more reluctant for them to see Avery's bashful look.

“I'm just trying to be nice by letting you know that being too rough is unhealthy for Avery's baby. Why are you repaying my kindness with enmity? How dare you immediately turn your back on me just after using me! You are such a terrible friend! Avery, look at him! Please talk some sense into him!”

Avery watched as Yuvan, who was usually gentlemanly, stomped his feet like a child throwing a tantrum.

She couldn't help chuckling in amusement. “Okay, okay. We should be thanking Yuvan. We appreciate your kindness and will bear your advice in mind.”

Avery had a positive mindset this time after learning that she was once again expecting. She wasn't as terrified and perplexed as she had been throughout her first pregnancy. Instead, she had a profound sensation of surprise and joy.

The tender light of maternal love shone in her pretty eyes as she stroked her flat tummy.

This baby is the product of the love between me and Cayden.

She had missed spending a lot of precious quality time with Zachary and Rory after they were born.

Thus, this time around, she was determined to be by her child's side from the moment they were born and provide them with a happy and complete childhood.

In the beginning, Avery was worried that the twins might not like the idea of her getting pregnant again because there were a lot of cases in real life where children got jealous of their baby brothers or sisters.

According to news reports, some children even mercilessly murdered their newborn siblings by dropping them on the ground because they could not tolerate their mothers having a second child.

To Avery's surprise, however, her worries were completely unnecessary.

When the twins found out that their mother was expecting again and that they might be getting a new brother or sister, they were over the moon.

They were currently engaged in a heated argument about the gender of their new sibling in the living room.

“The baby in Mommy's tummy can't be a boy. She must be a pretty girl like me. Although you are handsome, Zach, the things we like are different. I want a younger sister to play tea parties with me! I want to braid her hair and play dress-up games with her! Argh... I want a sister!”

With one hand on her hip, Rory pointed her stubby finger at her brother and rambled on stubbornly, her usual graceful demeanor gone without a trace.

Zachary, on the other hand, was sitting on the couch in a relaxed manner, clad in white casual attire.

He remained unfazed by Rory's hollering and sat upright on the couch, his elegant bearing resembling his father, Cayden.

Shooting a disdainful glare at his pretty sister who only knew how to act coy, he said confidently, “Girls are too weak. I'm sure Mommy is expecting a boy. When he grows up, we can protect you together!”

Rory nibbled on her thumb as a look of indecision flashed across her eyes. “But if the baby's a boy, he can't play dolls with me...”
