Chapter 600 Dirt On Nicole

With the wind in her face, Nicole sped all the way to a nightclub in her convertible.

Evangeline followed her while maintaining a distance that allowed her to stay behind Nicole without being spotted by her.

She couldn't help but feel grateful to Claire for gifting her this limited-edition sports car. Without it, she would have lost Nicole considering how fast the latter was going.

Nicole stopped in front of the nightclub and allowed the valet to take over.

Then, she put on her shades and walked in.

Not wanting to lose sight of Nicole, Evangeline also left her car with a valet and rushed into the nightclub.

Nicole came to an extravagant private room, where two men in black suits guarded the entrance.

The door was opened, and Evangeline, hiding in a corner, caught sight of more than twenty people inside. There were men and women, and the scene was quite scandalous.

Packs of white powder were piled on a glass table, while a few men laid them out on the table one by one.

A muscular man as huge as a famous action movie star sat on the couch in the middle, half-hidden in the shade.

Evangeline could not see his face from her spot, but she could make out his gloomy side profile, his thick arms, and the terrifying tattoos on them.

One of the men took out a knife and cut open a pack of powder. After he touched the powder and gave it a sniff, an elated look overtook his face. Then, he nodded at the man on the couch.

Evangeline went pale.

Are they the so-called drug dealers I see in movies? Why would Nicole visit such a shady and horrendous place?

Before Evangeline could wrap her head around what was going on, she spotted Nicole sashaying her way to the tattooed man with a smile. The next moment, Nicole straddled the man skillfully.

To Evangeline's dismay, the door to the private room was shut closed at that juncture.

Just as she tried to get closer, the guard at the entrance grabbed her by the neck like an eagle hunting its prey.

“Who are you? Why are you sneaking around here?” the guard snapped, startling Evangeline.

She immediately assumed an innocent and timid look. “S-Sir, I... I'm a new escort here. I got lost because I'm not yet familiar with this place. I-I'll leave right now.”

Her pitiful appearance convinced the guard. He let go and cast a cold glance at her and barked, “This isn't where you should be. Scram!”

Like a startled rabbit, Evangeline nodded hastily and swiftly left the place.

Now that she found Nicole's darkest secret and weakness, the latter would not be able to boss her around anymore.

In the private room, Nicole giggled playfully as she leaned against Roderick's chest, but the color was draining from her face.

She had always known Roderick was no righteous figure, but she never expected him to do drugs.

The Fuller family was a distinguished military family. Roderick's grandfather and two older brothers all held important positions in the army, so it was surprising that Roderick was involved with drugs.

This scary fact further confirmed Nicole's belief that Roderick was a wicked man.

Since Nicole was a veteran in the messy entertainment industry that was littered with celebrities and singers doing drugs, she was able to put up a calm front. Still, she couldn't help but feel rattled at the sight of so many types of drugs arranged neatly on the table.

At that moment, the conversation of the women around her reached her ears, filling her with embarrassment.

A scantily-clad woman pointed at Nicole discreetly and remarked, “Hey, isn't that Nicole Lambert, the celebrity known for her innocent image? I can't believe she's like this in real life. She looks quite ordinary without makeup, too.”

With a sneer, a lady in a bunny costume voiced, “No one is innocent in the entertainment industry. Once they're in it, they'll be tainted forever. That industry has some really dirty unspoken rules, you know?”

“But isn't she from a prominent family? I heard she has a powerful background. Who would dare to mess with her?” another woman dressed up as a doll asked innocently.

A lady wearing a leopard spots outfit chuckled indecently and chimed in, “No one knows what's going on in her head. Who knows? Maybe she's actually open-minded and hypersexual!”

In spite of the deafening music, Nicole could vaguely hear what they were commenting about her as they spoke loudly.

She was so incensed that she felt like ripping their mouths off.

When Roderick detected Nicole's inattentiveness, he snarled impatiently, “Come over here and pour me some wine!”

His voice snapped Nicole back to her senses. Obediently, she picked up a bottle of pre-mixed alcohol and poured a glass for Roderick.
