Jonathan was used to other people staring and wasn’t bothered at all. He simply looked down and asked Rosalie, “What flavor do you want? Shall we order one of each?”
“Oh, don’t do that. That’s a waste.” Rosalie knew that even if he bought the whole cake shop, that amount of money was insignificant to him. Despite that, she still didn’t want to waste money. “I’ll choose dark chocolate. What about you?”
“Anything is fine.” In truth, he didn’t really care about the cakes.
But since she wanted to eat, he would naturally be willing to do so with her.
Rosalie knew that Jonathan was not particularly fond of sweet things, so she chose a blueberry cake for him.
When the two slices of cake arrived, she used a small spoon to eat the dark chocolate cake first. The taste was indeed quite special, as the milky notes were stronger than the other dark chocolate cakes she had had in the past. The texture was thicker, too.
“It’s good. Would you like to try it?” Rosalie took a spoonful of the cake and raised it to Jonathan’s lips, her motions natural.
