Chapter 94 Scarlett's Aftermath

"What did you say? Right now?"

"Yeah, move out now!"

Abigail, still half-asleep at work, was in a total daze.

But the second she saw Emily's video call, she snapped awake and started firing off questions.

"Are you really giving up? Are you and Michael really done? Emily, are you sure? You like him so much, you must be feeling awful."

Emily sighed. "I'm hanging up."

"Don't! I won't say anything. Do you really think I'm upset about your breakup? That damn..."

Realizing she was in public and couldn't mention Michael's name, Abigail quickly changed her tone and mumbled, "Sure, you should stay far away from him! Just tell me what you need, and I'll handle it!" Seeing Emily was serious, Abigail straightened up, widened her eyes, and listened carefully.

"There's not much. You go to work first, and after, help me move all my stuff out of Emerald Lake Manor."

"What about you?" Abigail asked.

"I need to find a place to stay. I can't sleep on the streets!"

Abigail then bombarded her with questions before getting to the main point.

"Do you have enough money? I haven't had much work lately, so I can't help you out much, Emily. But I just got paid, so you can use it for now!" Hearing this, Emily smiled faintly. "Then I won't be polite."

"Why be polite with me! Alright, you go ahead and get busy. Leave the moving to me!" The call ended, and Abigail's cheerful voice abruptly stopped. Along with it, Emily's hard-won smile faded.

She looked at the half-empty closet in front of her, feeling indescribable.

But at this moment, she finally understood that some pain needs to be stopped in time.
