Chapter 422

Dorothy knew that Everett’s insistence on having her return to the Lopez Corporation was a setup–a chess move in his grand strategy. And sure enough, barely a day back and he was already itching to introduce her to Langston, and then he would find out what was going on!

As Dorothy pieced this together, she reminded herself to tread carefully around this man. Traps could lurk in the most innocuous of places.

She hoped that when she did see Langston, nothing would give them away.

Deep down, though, she yearned to see her son, to know how he was doing.
