Dorothy had no clue when the call ended last night. By the time she woke up, her phone was as dead as a doornail, completely powered down.

She plugged it in to charge before stumbling out of bed to freshen up.

In the middle of brushing her teeth, it hit her like a ton of bricks—the conversation she'd had with Everett the night before! What on earth had she blurted out to him?! She had actually told him to stop sending flowers to the directors, and she also made a point that the bouquet she received was from a female colleague.
