After Miles had left, the phone rang almost immediately. Felicity glanced at it to see two missed calls already glaring back at her from the screen. She didn't need a crystal ball to know who it was and what it was about. As expected, the moment she picked up, her mom, Karen, went straight to the point. "Did you spill the beans to Langston? He knows about your fertility issues! Said you told him!"

Rubbing her forehead, Felicity sighed, "Mom, I could've denied it, but then he called you, and you laid it all out..."

"Uh..."

Karen seemed to realize her mistake just then, "So, what do we do now? Should I call Langston and tell him I was talking nonsense? That I know nothing?"

"No need," Felicity exhaled. "It's out now. And Miles won't believe any denials at this point!"

"But how did Langston find out? I didn't say a word! Your dad's been tight-lipped too. I grilled him, and he swore he didn't say a thing to Mr. Lopez!"

"I've got no clue."

Felicity tried to retrace the whole situation in her mind, but couldn't pinpoint where she might have slipped up.

"Anyway, what's your plan now, Felicity?" Karen asked, a hint of concern in her voice.
